2. The player who has the honour should be allowed to play before his opponent or fellow competitor tees his ball.
3. No player shall play until the players in front are out of range.
4. In the interests of all, players shall play without delay. If a group fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, they should let the group following pass.
5. Players searching for a ball should allow other players following to pass them. They should signal to the players following to pass and should not continue their play until those players have passed and are out of range at all times.
6. Before leaving a bunker, a player should ensure that it has been raked smooth and that the rake has been left inside at the rear edge at the point furthest from the flag stick.
7. Players should ensure that, when dropping bags or the flag stick, no damage is done to the putting green and that they do not damage the hole by standing close to the hole or in handling the flag stick. The flag stick should be carefully replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.

When playing on or near the putting green, they should leave their bags or carts in such a position as will enable quick movement off the green and towards the next tee. When the play of a hole has been completed players should immediately leave the putting green.
Golden Rule: Your place in the field is behind the group in front not in front of the group behind.
The following suggestions may help your group to catch up if it falls behind without unduly affected your own enjoyment of your game.(Note match play rules may prevent the use of some ideas).2. If you have fallen behind, drop the “honour” system and allow any player that is ready to tee-off first, particularly those who are short drivers.
3. ALWAYS move to your own ball as closely as you can even if well ahead without interfering with other
4. Try to make club choice while other players are taking their shot.
5. On the green tap-in very short putts rather than marking.
6. Call up the following group if you have a lost ball problem – do not wait out the full 5-minute allowance, particularly if you have already fallen behind.
7. If there is any doubt that the ball is out of bounds – particularly in a net round then play a provisional ball.
8. Remember in Match play the shot or the hole may be conceded at any time – the concession cannot be declined.
9. On the green the first and second to putt-out should move towards the side of the green they will leave from without distracting the next putter. They can then move to the next tee as soon as the hole has been completed by their group and be ready to tee-off first.
10. As a last resort the first two to putt out could go to the next tee (e.g. number 6 to 7 or 7 to 8 or 12 to 13 are good examples).
11. If all else fails then split into two pairs until the group catches up. Learn and observe the etiquette of the game. If in doubt enquire from your Match Committee. Lowest handicap player in each four is responsible for etiquette. Replace Divots, Repairs Pitch Marks.
